Buy a quality framed print of Martin Anderson’s photograph taken through an archway to the quad of All Souls College. The college is unique in having no undergraduate students: all its members automatically become fellows. Each year, recent graduates compete for Examination Fellowships in what is sometimes called “the hardest exam in the world”. Notable candidates include philosopher Isaiah Berlin and mathematician Marcus du Sautoy (both successful); author John Buchan and former British Prime Minister Harold Wilson were both unsuccessful. The full name of All Souls is ‘The Warden and the College of the Souls of all Faithful People deceased in the University of Oxford’.
