Buy a framed print of Martin Anderson’s photograph of this magnificent view of the Radcliffe Camera from the spire of the University Church of St Mary the Virgin on Oxford’s historic High Street. The Radcliffe Camera is named after its benefactor Dr John Radcliffe (1650–1714) and forms part of the world-famous Bodleian Library. Under Radcliffe Square, out of sight of the students and tourists who pass through the square every day, are over half a million books, housed on two subterranean floors, connected to the main Bodleian Library by a tunnel (The Gladstone Link) and book transport system.
